Hi, I’m Wren!
I’m a photographer, hacker, biker, and baker. I enjoy playing with how the world works to create new patterns and behavior. Whether it’s light and color, electric charges, or bits and bytes, I try to see how things work experimentally to see when and how they break. Breaking the rules is always more fun than following them.
In my work I often think about emergence, and the ways that simple patterns combine organically to create more complex ones. I think that this is especially important when creating art. It keeps me focused on the important aspects and serves as a touchstone to keep me in tune with the greater forces in the universe.
When I make art I strive to keep it unique, but without overthinking it. I follow my own desire path and see where it leads me. Sometimes it leads me into the weeds.
